Every person has a story...and every person deserves to have that story told.
A professional journalist and storyteller, I have interviewed hundreds and hundreds of people, and what I always come away with is the understanding that we all have a story. A lot of us may have a chance—or many chances—to have those stories told while we're still alive. For others, however, their stories die with them.
I want to help tell your story, and the story of your loved one.
I'll work with you to help create an obituary that will honor the life of your loved one. Using a questionnaire as well as a follow up phone call, I'll create an obituary that you can place wherever you see fit (Newspapers, online, etc.).
If you're interested in creating an obituary for yourself, a type of living memorial, I'm happy to work with you through the process.
Additionally, I can write eulogies for a service, and in some cases, provide you with the contact to a professional funeral celebrant.
How does it work?
The first step is reaching me. Please email me at email@example.com to request services. Upon receipt of your email, I'll send out a questionnaire. As soon as you return it, we'll set up a brief phone call, where I can fill out any additional details and hear other stories you want to share about your loved on. I'll get writing, and have an obituary back to you within 48 hours. I am happy to provide a round of edits after you've seen the completed obituary.
Cost for obituaries is $300 upon booking. I accept Venmo and Paypal.
Please note cost does not include placement of the obituary in local newspapers or elsewhere. Nor do services include placement.
